Photo safari: Frangokastello fortress and Preveli Monastery w Grecji

This sightseeing tour begins with a visit to the Ascifu Valley, located between the northern and southern coasts of Crete. Crossing the massif of the White Mountains, you arrive in the south of Crete, where the Venetian fortress of Frangokastello, built in the 14th century, stands alone.

In Plakias or Damnoni you will have time to swim in the Libyan Sea and have a bite to eat in a local tavern. After lunch, this serene picture will be complemented by a visit to the active male monastery of Preveli, in whose temple the Miraculous Cross is kept. The return journey passes through the impressive Kourtaliotiko Gorge.

It is not by chance that the excursion is called a photo safari: you will be able to bring a rich photo album from the virgin places of Crete.
